B570NA “Rich Beauty, with Mammoths”

$595.00

The dark purple spiny oyster band on this bracelet sets the tone, and the four sterling beads, with their elegant swirl designs, just add to the rich mystery of this bracelet. The vintage Navajo focal charm has a beautiful turquoise stone irregular in shape and mounted with sawtooth bezel, The sterling dots around the stone symbolize raindrops. It is handmade, probably from the 1930’s, and is unmarked. I’ve added a little bundle of beads at the back which includes a running Indian pony and a heart, both sterling. There are two large sterling feathers flanking the focal charm, two old sterling Dream Catcher charms, four vintage smaller turquoise charms, a sterling cross path cross, a variety of sterling charms, Kingman turquoise, and four true Woolley Mammoth beads with turquoise chips. These beads are thousands of years old and are harvested by Native Americans along Alaskan riverbanks where they are exposed every spring, thus giving the natives welcome added income. This bracelet has a pretty toggle clasp with designs on both sides, and measures about 7.5″ wearable length. Something different!
