B687NA “Blue Day”

$610.00

This bracelet has a combination of ancient lapis lazuli stones banded with patterned sterling silver, and lapis and turquoise charms, all vintage, some signed and others with natural age patina. The Navajo focal charm has a beautiful deep blue stone with hints of green and a brown matrix which makes me think of Roystan turquoise, and the setting for this stone is both elaborate and graceful with sterling leaves and 4 raindrops. This charm began with both a pin and a charm option but I’ve repurposed it with a little bundle of beads on the back and a permanently closed pin. There are 2 sterling roses flanking the focal charm, each with little dangles, and then the ancient lapis charms, also with little dangles. Next comes 2 beautifully stamped sterling and lapis charms, then 2 old Navajo charms with wide nicely stamped settings and large natural turquoise stones with saw tooth bezels, and last come 2 rectangular concho charms beautifully stamped and each with little snake-eye turquoise stones and blue dangles. I’ve scattered a few other charms in the bracelet, a sterling Kachine, 2 squash blossoms, a handsome feather and 4 turquoise slice charms. The band features 2 larger lapis melon central beads with sterling bead caps and natural turquoise irregular rondells, to finish with a unique twiggy sterling toggle clasp. This is a very full and interesting bracelet with a wearable length of about 7.5″.
