The striking old focal Bedouin Taguemout bead, from the Western Anti Atlas area, are very rare and collectible now. They are too expensive for the Bedouin to make in the old way and they are very sought after as a consequence but a few replicas do show up now and then. We collected this enameled, traditional focal bead in Morocco some time ago. It has one traditional silver Bedouin dangle and some wear to the body of bead, as one would expect, but the colorful enamel is still largely in tact and sets the “Long Ago” theme for this necklace. I have added orange shell, turquoise, two lamp glass Peacock beads and natural horn beads. The necklace chain is copper and the S clasp is copper and silver. The necklace is 20″ long.
