Somehow I have generally thought of amethyst as a delicate, gentle, perfect stone. But I am happy to be wrong! This pretty 19″ necklace demonstrates the beauty of random facets and inclusions. the stones have depth and mystery, nature busily at work with these beautiful imperfections. They are so much more interesting, to me, and I value them and love to work with them. This necklace has seven round amethyst stones on the central band and from this band dangle twelve long amethyst stones on silver pins adorned with little black beads. I’ve added black horn beads from Ghana, sterling silver beads and a few inches of interesting black chain, to avoid too much bulk at the back of the neck when worn. The clasp is sterling silver, and this necklace is just a lovely group of jewels to wear.
