B585 “Elegant Gem”
The finely cut warm umber focal charm in this 7″ bracelet can only be described as an elegant gem. It is firmly set in a simple sterling setting, very tasteful, and the stone itself is flawless and finished on both sides, the expert craftsman’s final touch. I can’t vouch for it being a semiprecious gem, perhaps a smoky quartz rarity, but its initial value, its quality and the simple sterling setting suggest its worth. It hangs about 1.5″ from the bracelet band, between two small sterling dangles and two large sterling feather charms. The bracelet has fourteen sterling charms, mostly antique, some with amber, including two crosses, signed, four old hand carved smoky quartz charms, all with decorative sterling bead caps, natural turquoise, agate and others. The band itself has two large sterling openwork central beads with sterling bead caps, two handmade lampwork glass beads and natural penn shell filling with sterling spacers. The sterling toggle clasp has an interesting twiggy look. As the pictures show, this bracelet also makes a beautiful and unusual necklace with the addition of a simple sterling chain and clasp. Inquiries are welcome.
