B688NA “Wild Wood”
When I was making this bracelet I kept thinking of a walk in the woods late in the day and late in the year when all the leave were falling and the quiet was profound. The old focal charm in this bracelet is dark turquoise with a hint of green throughout and the simple setting is old classic Navajo sterling silver: this charm seems to reflect the darkening twilight of the memorable woods I’ve walked in. There is no maker’s mark on the back so it remains a mystery from the 1920’s or so.There are 2 small, old carnelian charms flanking this pretty focal charm . I have combined it with sterling feathers, vintage turquoise charms, leopard skin jasper, vintage concho charms with little dangles and old sterling beads. The jasper nugget charms are made with old trade beads and carnelian beads, and the band is made with natural Royston turquoise. I’ve added a sterling toggle clasp that has a woodsy look. and seems to fit the theme of this handsome bracelet.
