Winter has found us in all its variety of beauty. The air is crisp and the days are short. This bracelet seems to suggest those special gifts of winter in the natural aquamarine rondelles, the turquoise, the old crystal beads with sterling bead caps, a bit of ocean jasper and the very special handmade discs of lampwork glass adorned with pretty little dots of sterling silver. The list goes on! The focal charm is a former pin permanently closed. I have repurposed this pin into an elegant central charm covered with tiny turquoise stones in sawtooth sterling settings. The back of this charm has 3 dangles of larimer, sterling silver and aquamarine placed there so the bracelet looks lovely even when you turn your wrist. It hangs about 2″ from the bracelet band. Next come 2 sterling feathers, aquamarine nugget and crystal charms, 2 sterling Navajo feather charm with fine turquoise stones, 4 vintage sterling concho charms each with tiny turquoise stones and a bit of patina, and 2 more vintage Navajo charms, one with sterling scrolls in its setting and the other signed with the maker’s initial. The band of this 73/4″ bracelet has 4 round amazonite stones in a soft blue green color, each with sterling bead caps. The rest of the band is finished with aquamarine rondelles and the clasp is a flowered sterling toggle clasp. Enjoy the season!
